Follow these easy steps and guidelines to make an #Artists4Activism PSA:
PLEASE DO NOT USE NAMES OF PEOPLE, CONVENTIONS OR STUDIOS! THESE PSA’s ARE TO ENCOURAGE COMMUNITY BUILDING AND AWARENESS. WE ARE SPEAKING UP! NO BAD LANGUAGE OR HATEFUL COMMENTS! PEACEFUL ACTIVISM ONLY PLEASE!
1.) Your Name, who you represent (studio, comp, independent) your city and a bit about your role in dance.
2.) Express why you are advocating to protect our youth and help stop studios, choreographers, educators, comps, conventions and parents from encouraging and awarding our children by exploiting them through hyper-sexualized music, Dance, costumes, concepts and YouTube videos.
3.) What are you going to do about it?
4.) Make sure you say at the end “and that’s why I’m a Y.P.A.D. ARTIST4ACTIVISM!”
5.) PLEASE pronounce Y.P.A.D. like iPad but with a “Y”.
6.) Title your video “Y.P.A.D. PSA #Arrists4Activism (insert name)” and upload it to YouTube as “UNLISTED”.
7.). Email the unlisted link to [email protected] Once we approve it we will add it to our YouTube channel and we can all start blasting!
8.) INVITE 5 PEOPLE TO TAKE THE Y.P.A.D. CHALLENGE AND CREATE THEIR OWN PSA’s! Share these important directions with them!
